There's no need to fear, Underdog is here! Underdog was created in October 1964, and appeared as short segments in the cartoon King Leonardo, but was eventually replaced by other cartoon segments. It soon achieved its own show, and aired on NBC in the mornings. It ended in 1974. The show was about a dog named Shoeshine Boy, who accidentally got super-hero powers in a lab accident. He uses his powers for good, and sometimes to impress the beautiful Sweet Polly Purebred, who was the classiest pooch in town.
