Eek! The Cat is an American animated series, created by Savage Steve Holland and Bill Kopp, that ran from September 12, 1992 to September 5, 1997 on the now defunct Fox Kids Saturday Morning block. It was re-run from 1998 to 1999. The series was a Nelvana and Fox Kids Company production in association with Savage Studios Ltd. It was about a purple cat named Eek! (exclamation mark included) whose motto was "it never hurts to help". This very attitude, though, always got him into trouble, from which much of the humor of the show was derived. Other characters included Eek!'s human family, with whom he cannot communicate via spoken language; his girlfriend, Annabelle; and her pet shark dog, Sharky.
